Last call for Chesapeake Academy Auction tickets

image
Chesapeake Academy fifth graders and their parents are contributing five hours of yard work along with an abundance of flowers, plants, and mulch to the Live Auction as part of their “Yard Crashers” donation.

With limited seating, tickets for Chesapeake Academy’s annual silent and live dinner auction on Saturday, May 2, are still available for purchase.

The $100 price of admission includes entry to two auctions, special surprise presentations, a gourmet dinner, and an open bar.

The silent auction is filled with an assortment of special services and interesting items ranging from electronics and luggage to tea parties and cruises.

The highly-entertaining live auction comes complete with bidding opportunities to hunt, fish, travel, fly, decorate, party and eat.

Chesapeake’s annual auction brings together the talents, energy, creativity and generosity of many with a common focus—the school’s 130 students from preschool to eighth grade.

Tickets for the auction’s “Stimulus Package” raffle supporting local businesses are still available and can be purchased in advance at Khakis or Chesapeake Academy in Irvington, the Sandpiper or Positive Image in White Stone, and at Specials in Kilmarnock. With a total value of $1,500 and a theme of “food, fuel, and frolic,” the raffle’s grand prize includes a $500 Tri-Star Supermarket gift certificate, $500 BP gasoline gift certificate, and a variety of gift cards and tickets to area restaurants and cultural events, including the annual Seafood Festival. Tickets are $10.

Chesapeake Academy’s Auction is made possible by a dedicated and energetic auction committee, creative students and room parents who contribute a significant amount of handmade donations, many willing and cheerful volunteers, and the immense generosity of innumerable individual and local businesses that have contributed their services and merchandise.

To purchase tickets to attend the gala auction, call Catherine Emry at the school (438-5575) or visit chesapeakeacademy.org and click on the “Celebrating S.T.A.R.S. Auction” banner at the top of the homepage.
