K&Q Courthouse Museum Christmas is Sunday
King and Queen Courthouse Tavern Museum will host a Christmas Open House Celebration on Sunday, December 1, from 2-5 p.m.
Children are invited to sit with “Santa” Wallace Mahanes on his sleigh and take a cart ride with Brownie Bevan’s miniature horses.
The public is invited to chat with “General Robert E. Lee,” Mark Favazza, as he strolls through the Court House Green.
There will be donuts and popcorn prepared over an open fire by Nancy Herman-Thomas and Susan Spain.
The Christian Heirs Quartet and the Aylett Country Day School children’s choir will perform.
Sally Walker’s famous hot apple cider and tasty cookies will be served.
Biddlie Shelor’s model train through the snowy countryside and Christmas village will on display.
The Tavern Museum’s gift shop will be open.
The Tavern Museum is at 146 Court House Landing Road, King and Queen Court House.
