‘Jumbo Lump Daddy’ to play at Yates House

On Saturday, August 30, “Jumbo Lump Daddy and the Backfin Boys” will perform from 6 to 8 p.m. at Yates House Community Arts Center in Deltaville. This will be the last Saturday night concert of the year. Admission is $5. Bring lawn chairs and picnic baskets.
On Sunday, September 7, from 2 to 4 p.m. Yates House will feature “The Phun Doctors.” On Sunday, September 14, Susan Greenbaum will play from 3 to 5 p.m.
The Deltaville Farmers’ Market is Saturday, September 27, at Yates House.
A Jamestown exhibit will be on loan to Yates House from the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (VMFA). The opening reception is Sunday, October 5, from 3 to 6 p.m. The exhibit will be on display through October 25. Times will be announced at a later date.
A stained glass class will be held on October 10-11 and 17-18. Registration, time and fee for the class will be announced later. The class will be taught by stained glass artist Allan Langer.
On October 18, a class will be held on making Halloween pumpkin holders and ghost tealight candle holders by painting wine glasses. The class will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Registration is required.
At the Farmers’ Market on October 25 there will be an Antique Car Show.
