The public is invited to enjoy a barbecue dinner, live music and a children’s carnival during the Hartfield Volunteer Fire Department (HVFD) annual Pig Pickin’ this Saturday, July 20, at Grey’s Point Camp in Topping.
The kids carnival starts at noon and includes games, bounce houses, a dunking booth and more.
Items on the dinner menu are barbecue, baked beans, cole slaw, homemade desserts and cold drinks. Dinner will be served from 5-8 p.m.
The cost is $12 for adults and $8 for children.
The band “33 East” will perform starting at 6 p.m.
There will be drawings for a golf cart or $250 in cash, and door prizes.
Proceeds benefit the operations of the HVFD.
The event is open to everyone, not just campers, said a HVFD spokesman. “Please join us at our cookout and dance, let the kids play, hang out with family and friends, and check out the awesome Grey’s Point Camp and their wonderful facilities.”
