Holly Point Market at maritime park Sept. 23

Bill Powell
Events Director
Deltaville Maritime Museum

Shopping for fresh local produce, goat cheese and eggs, homemade bread, Whitley peanuts, handwoven items, handcrafted earrings, natural soaps, homemade soups, honey, Greek pastries, art, outdoor furniture or photography will be easy on Saturday, September 23, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Holly Point Market at the Deltaville Maritime Museum. The new BistroBenedictBrunch begins in the North Events Pavilion at 8 a.m. and the Groovin’ in the Park concert series is held that evening from 5-8 p.m. Groovin’ gates open at 4 p.m.

This will be the last of the “summer” series of markets.

Come back to the park around 5 p.m. as the gates open for a wonderful evening of music as Groovin’ in the Park hosts the sound of the blues with the “Dikon & Vallet Band” taking the Waterfront Stage from 6-8 p.m. Don’t forget O.T. Adcock and “Bucket.” This is a “bring your own lawn chair, cooler and picnic” event. Gates open at 4 p.m. The 2017 Groovin’ season is sponsored by EVB branches in our area.

Tickets for Groovin’ are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Get yours at the museum office, on the museum’s website or at Nauti Nell’s in Deltaville.
