Hodges named VRMA Retailer of the Year
The Virginia Retail Merchants Association (VRMA), a not-for-profit trade organization representing more than 5,400 Virginia retailers and local merchants, recently named M. Keith Hodges of Urbanna as the 49th VRMA Retailer of the Year. Hodges received his award October 11 at the Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfront in Virginia Beach.
Hodges, nominated by Delegate Harvey B. Morgan and subsequently chosen by the VRMA as its Retailer of the Year, provides an excellent example of how retailers can “use their retail businesses to give back to their communities as volunteers.”
Hodges purchased his first pharmacy in 1991 in West Point and is currently the president of Gloucester Pharmacy in Gloucester. He is also in partnership with other independent pharmacies in Virginia.
He is a 1989 graduate of the Medical College of Virginia School of Pharmacy and currently resides in Urbanna with his wife Shelley and their two daughters, Chloe, 8, and Ella, 3.
