‘Halloween in the Park’ Friday at Holly Point
|On Friday, October 31, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Halloween will be celebrated at Holly Point Nature Park in Deltaville. There will be areas in the park with ghosts, goblins, pirates, witches and various other spooks handing out candy and other treats or tricks. This is a free community effort to give kids a safe and fun place to trick or treat. For more information, call 776-0727.|
Public is Invited
Holly Point Nature Park is in the final countdown for “Halloween in the Park,” which is set for this Friday, October 31, from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
The newest participants in the activities, both individuals and businesses, are Coffee Creations, DP Norwood Plumbing Co. Inc., Dave Woolard Construction, Irene Fluty, Kurt Jimmo, Mark and Vicki Favazza, Nancy and Chris Barnhardt, Ashley Marshall, Lee Wells, Walden Construction, Deltaville Boat Survey, Clarksbury United Methodist Church, Eric Vaudt, Amber and Brittney Mauney, and Amber and Hannah Clark.
Tee’s T-shirts will supply T-shirts to some of the first children to arrive at the park on Halloween night.
Park officials will have sound and light testing tonight, October 30, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. All participants are welcome to tour and pick a spot.
Halloween in the Park is a free event for area children to have a safe and happy Halloween. Parents also are invited.
“If there are more businesses or individuals interested in signing up, we will be glad to have your help,” said an event official. “We need costumed people to help in the park, and businesses or individuals willing to supply candy, trick-or-treats, decorations, and tax-deductible donations.
The public is invited to this Friday’s Halloween in the Park. Come dressed for trick-or-treating!
