George Allen to be at “Heroes Dinner”

Former Governor George Allen will be the guest speaker at a “Heroes Dinner” on Wednesday, September 11, at the Hartfield Volunteer Fire Department reception building.

The event is being coordinated by the Virginia Shield Foundation, a non-profit organization that honors Virginia’s First Responders.

The foundation’s mission is to recognize and honor the sacrifices made by public safety officers and to support public safety officers and their families.

The foundation is currently raising funds for the benefit of the proposed Commonwealth Public Safety Memorial at the Capitol Square in Richmond that will honor those who have given their lives in the line of duty.

Donation levels for the Sept. 11 reception and dinner range from $50 per person to $2,000 for a table of 10 persons. Proceeds go toward building the memorial and to the Middlesex County Museum. Donations levels include:

Gold Shield—$2,000 a table, includes table of 10, VIP reception, photo-op, dinner, preferred seating and event recognition.

Silver Shield—$1,000 a table. includes table of 10, VIP reception, photo-op and dinner.

Bronze Shield—$150 per person, includes VIP reception, photo-op and dinner.

Shield Sponsor—$50 per person, includes general reception and dinner.

Make check payable to “Virginia Shield Foundation” and mail it to P.O. Box 29365, Henrico, VA 23242. Your charitable donation will benefit the Commonwealth Public Safety Memorial and the Middlesex County Museum & Historical Society.

The VIP reception begins at 5:30 p.m., and dinner is at 7 p.m. The general reception is at 6:30 p.m.
