Foster parent training set

“Understanding Children’s Behaviors during Transitions” will be the subject of foster parent training from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, at the Essex County Department of Social Services.

This training will help foster parents identify periods of transitions in a foster child’s life, the behaviors one may expect during these periods, and provide suggestions on how to handle these behaviors.

Those interested are invited for dinner at 5:30 p.m. “This is a wonderful opportunity to meet other local foster parents while learning important information about the children you care for,” said a program spokesperson.

Please RSVP by June 22 to Georgia Sprague at 804-580-3477.
