A total of 45 fire trucks and emergency rescue vehicles participated in the annual Urbanna Oyster Festival Fireman’s Parade last Friday night in Urbanna.

Sirens were blaring and lights flashing as the fire trucks and rescue vehicles from as far away as Prince George County participated in the event.

Parade official Ben Burch said the number of trucks in the parade was down, primarily due to the weather. “The weather kept some away but I think most everyone enjoyed the parade,” he said.
