Urbanna Oyster Festival Queen contestant MaKenzie Bristow and her Little Miss Spat, Aubri Harris, are raising money and support for local veterans. They will be making the money they raise available to Middlesex veterans in need.

To help raise this money they will be holding a bake sale on Saturday, August 11, outside of M&M Building Supply in Hartfield from 8 to 11 a.m.

They will also be having a BBQ dinner fundraiser at Something Different in Urbanna on Monday, August 13, from 5 to 7 p.m. Live music will be provided by the local band Out On a Limb. The cost is $25 a person. Tickets will be available at the door and online through MaKenzie Bristow’s Facebook account.

To raise additional money there are donation jars throughout the county, at the 7-Elevens in Hartfield and Cooks Corner, Tall Chief, and at Virginia Street Cafe in Urbanna.

For more information, contact MaKenzie Bristow at 757-969-3210 or makenziebristow@gmail.com.
