Easter egg hunt and parade at Holly Point
The public is invited to come to Holly Point Nature Park in Deltaville on Saturday, April 11, for the 2nd Annual Easter Egg Hunt & Parade.
The Craft Class and Easter Bonnet Parade will be at 1 p.m. The hunt for candy-filled plastic Easter eggs will begin at 2:30 p.m. There will be different, age-related areas for the children to hunt for eggs. Children ages 3 and under will hunt separately from other children so they have a better chance of filling their baskets.
Parents and grandparents are invited to bring their cameras to take photos of their children with bunnies and baby goats from Turtle Island Animal Sanctuary, courtesy of Alice Call.
Volunteers are needed to help direct traffic for parking. Volunteers should be at the park by noon.
Event officials thank the following businesses and people that have already signed up to help: Julia Lee, EVB Bank in Deltaville, Tee’s T-shirts, Stephanie Henley, Kathy Newcomb, and Coffee Creations/Wilton Cottage.
“We need lots of volunteers to stuff the plastic eggs with candy and prizes—you can supply the candy or we will,” said an event official. “Monitors for the different hunting areas are needed as are judges for the Easter Bonnet Parade. This event is free for the kids, but we need your help to make it successful.”
