‘Dogs Helping Cats’ dog parade planned in Urbanna

“Dogs Helping Cats,” Urbanna’s “unofficial” dog parade to benefit the Urbanna Pet Project, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 31.

The parade will start at Taber Park, turn left on Rappahannock Avenue, turn right on Kent Street, turn left on Cross Street, turn right on Virginia Street, turn right on Rappahannock Avenue, and finish back at the park.

Water and biscuits will be available for dogs at Taber Park and also along the parade route.

There are no rules or registration. This parade is an non-sponsored event. Participate at your own risk.

Donations to the Urbanna Cat Project are suggested and will be collected at the park. Tax-deductible checks or bags of cat food will be appreciated.

Bring your leashed and friendly dogs to walk, run and parade through Urbanna. Walkers and joggers without dogs also are welcomed to participate.
