On May 12 the Deltaville community held a fabulous celebration of summer and touted its unique maritime heritage with local seafood and other festival fare, music, waterfront exhibits, crafts, a multi-dealer boat show as well as an antique car show, and various children’s activities. With tents covering a quarter-acre on the newly-expanded community center park area, and the beautiful pavilion at the Deltaville Maritime Museum, there was plenty of shade to sit and enjoy food and music in the cooling breeze.

The annual festival is organized by the Deltaville Community Association (DCA), but would be impossible without the sponsors and other volunteers who came together to make the day a success. The DCA wishes to thank event sponsors J&W Seafood, Norton’s Yachts, Deltaville Market, Deltaville Boatyard, Atlantic Broadband, County of Middlesex Department of Economic Development & Tourism, Chesapeake Boat Works, Broad Creek Marina, Chesapeake Yacht Sales, Deltaville Yachting Center, Timberneck Marina, and BAY-FM and WIGO Country radio.
