Concerts by the Bay announces schedule

Live On Stage and Concerts By The Bay have announced their performance schedule and season ticket campaign for 2014-15. The five-concert series is at 3 p.m. on Sunday afternoons. Four concerts will be held in the Harry M. Ward Auditorium at Mathews High School, 9889 Buckley Hall Road, Mathews. The site of the November 16 concert is Gloucester High School. Season tickets are now available.

  • On September 21, “The Fabulous Hubcaps” will perform oldies from The Beatles, Elvis, Sinatra, Tina Turner, Beach Boys, and many more.

  • On November 16, Susan Eagan will perform at Gloucester High School on 6680 Short Lane. One of Broadway and Disney’s most celebrated performers, Eagan specializes in dancing, singing and comedy.

  • On February 22, 2015, Alex DePue and Miguel De Hoyos will perform on the violin, viola, mandolin, guitar, double bass, percussion, and piano. He recently teamed with Mexican guitarist Miguel De Hoyos to produce a unique international sound. 

  • On March 15, the “Simple Gifts Trio” will perform. This trio of three women plus 12 instruments play a wide variety of ethnic folk music, from lively Irish jigs, down-home American reels, haunting gypsy melodies, and exciting Balkan dance tunes.

  • On April 19, “Good Company” will perform. This dynamic ensemble performs well-known songs across genres and decades. Writing their own songs as well, the band members discuss the process of creating new songs with the historical perspective of the past.

Tickets at the door for a single concert are $25. Youth through high school age are admitted free.

Purchase a season ticket before June 1 and receive one complimentary ticket ($25 value) that enables you to invite a family member or friend to attend a performance of their choice in the upcoming season.

Season tickets start at $65. Other ticket categories at $105 and $165 have special benefits, including reserved seating closer to the stage and “Meet the Performer” receptions after select concerts.
