Clayton Neal, Stuck On A Name to headline August 26 Groovin’

by Bill Powell
Events Director
Deltaville Maritime Museum

Groovin’ in the Park, 7-event outdoor, casual music series at the Deltaville Maritime Museum and Holly Point Nature Park, will be jumpin’ Saturday, August 26. Clayton Neal, Middlesex’s own “Rivahdacious” singer and guitarist, will take the stage at 5 p.m. to open for arguably the best reggae band in the state, “Stuck on a Name.”

The Holly Point Market will be held that same day from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Benedictbrunch starts at 8 a.m.

Clayton, better known musically as “Jumbo Lump Daddy,” lead singer from the longtime and now retired band of the same name, has always defied classification. Clayton on vocals, harmonica and guitar performs genre-crossing music that blends rhythm & blues, rock and roll and country. He has played in numerous bands in the Richmond area including “Buzzard Luck” and “Stunt Dog” as well as the award-winning local band “Jumbo Lump Daddy and the Backfin Boys.”
