Chesapeake Bay Writers to hold workshop in Gloucester

With the large numbers of books published daily, it can be difficult for authors to find their audiences. On Wednesday, June 20, Chesapeake Bay Writers will sponsor “How to Be a Rock Star at PR” with Alice Osborn. The workshop will follow a 6 p.m. dinner at Olivia’s in Gloucester. To register go to the website at

Osborn, a singer/songwriter, editor, poet and writing coach, will show writers how to develop and promote their brand. A North Carolina Writers’ Network, North Carolina Poetry Society, and North Carolina Songwriters Co-op board member and a Pushcart Prize nominee, her work has appeared in the News and Observer, The Broad River Review, The Pedestal Magazine, Soundings Review and in numerous journals and anthologies. Osborn is the musician-in-residence for the Western Wake Farmers’ Market.

The workshop is open to the public. For more information check the website or contact Susan Williamson at .
