Brew Jam to feature four bands and 20 microbrews

The Gloucester Main Street Association invites the public to attend its second annual spring music and beer festival, “Brew Jam,” on Saturday, May 11, from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. at 6596 Main Street (Tabb House-Wells Fargo Financial Advisors building).

Twenty different Virginia microbrews will be offered, including beers from St. George, Alewerks, Blue Mountain, Devils Backbone, Port City Brewing, Legend and Starr Hill.

The event also will feature four local bands: Eileen Edmonds String Trio, noon-1:30 p.m.; Karl Werne & Friends, 1:45-3:15 p.m.; Sarah Williams, 3:30- 5 p.m.; and Toby and Larry, 5:15-6:30 p.m.

Main Street restaurants will be on site selling food.

Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the gate. Tickets include a souvenir logo glass, two drink tickets and all-day access to the musical lineup. Tickets can be purchased at Kelsick Market or online at http://www.mainstreetbluesandbrews.com. For more information, call 695-0700.
