Bobby Messano to perform May 26 at Groovin’ concert

Blues/rock super-guitarist and #1 Billboard blues artist Bobby Messano headlines the Saturday, May 26, Memorial Day weekend “Groovin’ in the Park” concert at the Deltaville Maritime Museum. Area favorite keyboard man Ray Pittman leads off at 5 p.m., Messano takes the stage from 6-8 p.m. Tim Moore, formerly with “Cedar Creek,” will handle Ray’s percussion and backup vocals. Gates open at 4 p.m.

The 2018 Groovin’ in the Park concert series is sponsored by Sonabank.

Yes, Bobby is going to play “Welcome to Deltaville.”

On December 22, 2012, Bobby was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame. His CDs are heard daily on “Sirius/XM’s Legendary Guitarist B.B. King’s Bluesville, and his CD “Love & Money,” released in April 2015, was nominated for a prestigious Blues Blast Award for “Best Rock-Blues Album” in August 2015. Love & Money debuted on the Billboard Blues Chart at #7, peaked at #1 and spent a total of nine weeks in the Top 10. It was also #7 on the Billboard Heat Seekers Chart and Top 40 on both the Billboard Rock and Indie charts. Love & Money also ended 2015 at #44 on the Roots Music Report Chart.

Tickets for Groovin’ are $10 in advance or $15 at the gate. Get tickets through the museum office or at Nauti Nell’s in Deltaville. Get yours early!
