Belle Isle offers children’s events during spring break
Belle Isle State Park in Lancaster County will host several children’s events from Tuesday, April 2, through Saturday, April 6.
On Tuesday, April 2, “Web Side Story” will be presented. It will include information about spiders and crafts, and includes a short hike to look for spiders and other insects.
The program on Wednesday, April 3, will introduce Geocaching, an activity that uses GPS units to find boxes of tradable prizes.
On Thursday, April 4, visitors will learn how to predict weather and make a weather predictor.
The offering on Friday, April 5, is “Goodness Snakes,” a children’s program about snakes, which includes a craft project.
On Saturday, April 6, the park will feature fitness expert Al Cire, who will teach youngsters to stay in shape using low-cost ways that don’t require expensive equipment or gym membership.
