Bassett/Thompson live in Deltaville this Saturday
by Bill Powell
It’s July in the maritime park and time for the annual Groovin’ in the Park concert by Steve Bassett and Robbin Thompson. Relax in the “Sweet Virginia Breeze” as Robbin and Steve “Take Me Away” to “Virginia in the Springtime” and say, “Let’s Do One Together.” All your favorites and the new stuff too!
Groovin’ in the Park, Deltaville Maritime Museum and Holly Point Nature Park’s casual, outdoor, Saturday evening concert series continues this Saturday, July 26, with arguably Virginia’s best songwriting and performing duo in the state, Steve Bassett and Robbin Thompson, live on the Waterfront Stage beginning at 6 p.m. Their combined Google “hits”— over 3,000,000!
With the Groovin’ gate opening at 4 p.m. for picnicking, singer/songwriter Eileen Edmonds will take the stage at 5 p.m.
Advance tickets are available at Nauti Nell’s and the museum office, during open hours, and, as always, at the door. Tickets are $10 per person. Children under 12 are admitted free.
