Artwork sought for Bay School Attic Art Sale

The Bay School Community Arts Center in Mathews will host an Attic Art Sale in February. This special exhibition and sale event will take place in the Art Speaks Gallery from February 8-21, with an opening reception Saturday, February 8, from 4-7 p.m.

Area artists and community members are encouraged to participate as both buyers and sellers. Anyone with artwork in their attic, stockpiles of their own work, or who is tired of looking at the art hanging on their walls is welcome to take part. The artwork must be original or limited edition and in salable condition, and should be delivered Thursday through Saturday, January 30-February 1, 10 a.m-4 p.m. The artwork will be put on sale, with a percentage of the sale proceeds going to the Bay School.

The Bay School is at 279 Main Street in Mathews. It is a non-profit arts organization partially funded by the Virginia Commission for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts. For more information about the Bay School and the Attic Art Sale, call 804-725-1278 or visit http://www.bayschool-arts.com.
