Artist’s reception is Saturday in Urbanna

The Middlesex Art Guild Gallery at 217 Virginia Street in Urbanna will feature the art and jewelry of Jacquie Colligan of Middlesex in a one-woman show September 5-28.

The public is invited to a reception on Saturday, September 6, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the gallery in Urbanna. The reception is generously sponsored by Ann Meekins of Ann Meekins Realty. This event is free and open to the public.

The Virginia Watercolor Society chose Colligan for its 2007 exhibit in Hampton and its 2008 exhibit in Roanoke.  She received a blue ribbon in the 2008 Art on the Half Shell in Urbanna.

Her use of semi-precious stones, metals and beads in her jewelry will please the eye and stir the passions.  Her latest quest into art and education is in the use of art clay silver.

The Middlesex Art Guild is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit community arts organization and a Community Partner with the Virginia Museum of Fine Art. Contributions may be tax-deductible.
