| Paul Carey of Reedville will display his steam-launch “Sunnybank” at the Reedville Antique Boat Show on Saturday, September 11, at the Reedville Fishermen’s Museum. |
Visitors can stroll along historic Main Street and follow the signs to view over 30 great restored yachts docked at private piers on both sides of the street. Many boat owners will be on hand to talk about their boats.
There also will be a nautical flea market, crafts, music and food on the museum grounds. Visitors can view the boats from the water by taking a free ride on the Smith Point Sea Rescue boat.
At 3 p.m. the boats will gather and pass in parade in front of the reviewing stand at the Reedville Marina at the foot of Main Street.
There is a $5 pier pass charge, which also covers admission to the museum. Children 12 and under attending with an adult are admitted free. Passes are available at information tents next to the museum and at the end of Main Street.
The show is sponsored by the Reedville Fishermen’s Museum and the Tidewater Chapter of the Antique and Classic Boat Society.
