Annual Oyster Roast and Dance at museum Saturday

It will be oysters, oysters, oysters, served on the half shell, steamed, and served as the increasingly popular “Oysters Rockefeller” by Chef Rob as the mainstay on the buffet at the 11th annual Oyster Roast and Dance is coming up this Saturday, September 9, at the Deltaville Maritime Museum and Holly Point Nature Park.

The Oyster Roast will be held in the Museum’s spacious Events Pavilion from 5-9 p.m.

The Oyster Roast begins with a social hour from 5-6 p.m., the buffet will be opens from 6-7 p.m., and the dance with the popular dance band “Taters” follows after dinner until closing. The Taters play an eclectic mix of roots rock, pop, country, skiffle and Americana, a sound that’s been compared favorably to a mixture of Everly Brothers, Roy Orbison, the Beatles, and Nick Lowe.

Tickets for the Oyster Roast and Dance are now $45.
