‘American Jukebox’ takes the stage Sept. 19
|Arts Alive presents “American Jukebox”|
Last year many saw “On Broadway!” and loved it. American Jukebox is a show by the same production company, Matt Davenport Productions. This is a high-quality show with talented singer/dancers performing to a six-piece band. It will feature a colorful, high-energy spectacular celebrating the very best of America’s top pop music.
The live six-piece band rocks the house in 50’s, Motown, disco, country and blues styles as a cast of six incredible singer/dancers make the enormous center-stage jukebox come alive with lights and sounds. This show features hits like “Respect,” “Whole Lotta Shaking” and “Soulman.”
Held in the Robinson/Olsson Civic Auditorium and Fine Arts Center located in West Point Thompson Avenue, American Jukebox is a two-hour full-length version of the original 30-minute piece that dazzled audiences for 10 years at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg. American Jukebox received the “Best Show” award in its debut season at Busch Gardens.
