‘42Five’ to perform in Mathews on Oct. 28
A cappella hipsters “42Five” will perform their energy-infused five-part harmony performance at Mathews High School at 9889 Buckley Hall Road in Mathews on Sunday, October 28, at 3 p.m. Tickets are $25 at the door. Youth through high school are admitted free.
Based in Orlando, Florida, 42Five delivers a roller coaster ride of death-defying vocal harmonies. The five-member male vocal group easily strides through a myriad of musical styles, from doo-wop to hip-hop. Their vocal stylings are only matched by their signature humor and on-stage antics.
Many of the members boast professional credentials from the amusement park and cruise ship industries based in Florida. 42Five creates its own arrangements, as well as engineering and producing each of their four recordings. Beginning in 2013, the band will record and perform under the name “Voiceplay.”
Concerts By The Bay, the sponsor of the 42Five concert, is a non-profit organization committed to providing high-quality musical and other programs for the entertainment and enrichment of their audience in the Middle Peninsula. Concerts By The Bay has reciprocal agreements with Arts Alive in West Point, and the Rappahannock Concert Association in Heathsville.
