‘33 East’ to perform at benefit concert Saturday

Adult Literacy on the Middle Peninsula Inc. will hold two fund-raising events this weekend. The public is invited to both.

On Friday, January 25, there will be a spaghetti dinner at the Courthouse Restaurant on Main Street in Gloucester. The meal is $10, which includes beverage, salad, roll, spaghetti and Italian dessert.

On Saturday, January 26, the band “33 East” of Middlesex County will perform at the DAV building on Short Lane in Gloucester from 6-10 p.m. Admission is a $10 donation for adults and $5 for youth 12 years of age and younger.  Locust Grove United Methodist Church will provide the food with menu and prices posted.  In addition to music and food, there will be door prizes, an auction, and a 50/50 raffle.

Adult Literacy on the Middle Peninsula Inc. provides free one-on-one tutoring for adults in Middlesex County who want to improve basic reading and math skills, helps students prepare for the GED tests, and teaches English as a Second Language (ESL) as well as assists students qualified to apply for American citizenship.
