Area artists to be featured at Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society Auction

More than 30 local and regional artists have signed on to create original centerpieces for the Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society Annual Auction. The auction is the Humane Society’s largest annual fundraiser for the operations budget and will be held January 30 at 6 p.m. at the Abingdon Ruritan Center in Bena.

Deltaville Maritime Museum begins facilities improvement fundraiser

New facility to house Hands, Habitat for Humanity

A new modern Christmas package in the form of a community-based service facility is about to be unwrapped. It will house offices and supplies for several charity organizations in the community and is owned by Hands Across Middlesex and Habitat for Humanity Middlesex.

Christmas Friends delivers gifts to 300
Santa’s “sleighs” still endured a lot of snowy and muddy roads until the job was completed Sunday and Monday, and only one van was briefly stuck in a soft spot. “Christmas Friends really appreciates the extra effort by everyone to get the gifts delivered before Christmas,” said organization president Fred Gaskins.
