USAF Heritage of America Band to perform August 25 in Irvington
The U.S. Air Force Heritage of America Band is set to perform in Irvington for the 25th time in 25 years on Tuesday, August 25. The full concert band, approximately 40 strong, is the largest of the eight ensembles that the U.S. Air Force maintains to entertain military and civilian audiences alike.
Archeological artifact wash planned at Middlesex Museum
The Middlesex County Museum will host an artifact wash on Saturday, September 5, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Pieces recovered during a dig on the property of historic “Sandwich” in Urbanna will be the subject of the wash.
Crab feast set for Aug. 29 in Urbanna
The Middlesex Volunteer Fire Department in Urbanna will hold its 7th annual Crab Feast from 5-7 p.m. on Saturday, August 29, in the new bays of the air-conditioned firehouse.
Surf music to meet reggae at Groovin’ in the Park concert
Check out the beach sounds of “3rd Wave” at 5 p.m. leading off for the reggae island backbeat of the premier reggae band “Stuck on a Name” from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, August 22, as part of the Deltaville Maritime Museum’s Groovin’ in the Park concert series.
