Parisian art coming to Middlesex County
The festival will be open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, May 30, and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, May 31 on the grounds of 17th-century “Hewick Plantation” on Old Virginia Street, just a half mile west of Urbanna.
Virginia Symphony to perform free concert May 30
The Cook Foundation will present the 9th annual Symphony under the Stars free family concert on Saturday, May 30, at 8 p.m. “on the lawn” of Main Street and Walter Reed Way. The concert will be given by the Virginia Symphony Orchestra.
‘Art Speaks on the Bay’ awards are announced
The Bay School Community Arts Center’s annual juried art show “Art Speaks on the Bay” opened on Saturday, May 2, with a reception and awards presentation. The show is on display until May 30, and the artwork can be seen on the Bay School’s website at http://www.bayschool-arts.com
