Fireman’s Parade winners listed
The warm 75-degree air only added to the electric atmosphere surrounding the annual Urbanna Oyster Festival Fireman's Parade last Friday evening. There were over 50 fire and rescue vehicles in the parade.

James Mills had a good eye for Colonial real estate
imageMost Middlesex County historical buffs know James Mills (1718-1782) as the Scottish factor who built the brick Scottish Factors Store in Urbanna in 1766. Today the historic building is commonly known as The Old Tobacco Warehouse and is a center of tourism in Middlesex and also serves as the Urbanna Welcome Center/Museum.

Music for woodwinds and cello to be featured
imageThe golden colors of a crisp fall afternoon will be joined by the warm sounds of woodwinds and cello at a concert to benefit the Northern Neck Orchestra at 4 p.m. on Sunday, November 12, at Good Luck Cellars, 1025 Goodluck Road, Kilmarnock.

MCWC plans festive 2 days
The Woman's Club will sell their famous crab bisque on Friday and Saturday for as long as it lasts. A delicious variety of pies will be for sale inside the club. Christmas ornaments, wreaths, a lovely quilt, jewelry, children's books and other amazing crafts will be available.
