Surf music to meet reggae at Groovin’ in the Park concert
Check out the beach sounds of “3rd Wave” at 5 p.m. leading off for the reggae island backbeat of the premier reggae band “Stuck on a Name” from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, August 22, as part of the Deltaville Maritime Museum’s Groovin’ in the Park concert series.
Tappahannock Farmers’ Market to feature produce, art and music
The Tappahannock Mid-Summer Farmers’ Market will be held Saturday, August 15, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Everything sold at the market is locally grown, created or crafted. August is a great month for vegetables, fruit and flowers. At least four produce vendors will offer shoppers a huge choice of freshness.
Ron Fetner to perform at Gloucester Arts on Main
“Bucket of Songs: An Evening with Ron Fetner” will be presented on Saturday, August 22, at Gloucester Arts on Main. Advance tickets are $10. After August 15, tickets are $15.
Donk’s to feature Lynda Smith & ‘7th Street’
On Saturday, August 15, Donk’s Theater, Virginia’s Li’l Ole Opry in Mathews, will feature the “Shades of Country” band and the Opry regulars playing and singing old and new country songs during the first half of the show.
