Oyster Festival queen contestant raises funds for MHS gymnasium
imageFor her community service project, Urbanna Oyster Festival Queen contestant Emily Taylor of Hartfield, a senior at Middlesex High School, held a basketball tournament. The purpose of the tournament was to raise money for the John S. Clements Memorial Gymnasium at MHS.

Big crowd greets classic car show in Deltaville
imageOn Saturday, October 15, the Memory Lane Car Club took part in the Deltaville Maritime Museum’s annual Holly Point Art & Seafood Festival. With the beautiful weather the event was a big success with a large turnout of visitors and the largest turnout of collector vehicles for this event ever.

‘Scary Halloween in the Park’ set for October 31
The public is invited to the Deltaville Maritime Museum and Holly Point Nature Park’s extremely popular 11th annual Scary Halloween in the Park on Monday, October 31, from 6-8 p.m. This is the actual date of Halloween and the official date to observe Halloween as set by Middlesex County.

Chesapeake Bay food & more at Saturday’s Deltaville festival
imageThe 13th annual Holly Point Art & Seafood Festival will be held this Saturday, October 15, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Deltaville Maritime Museum and, along with the art and other attractions, there will be plenty of food of all types.

Festival Queen contestant helps less fortunate receive cancer treatments
