Urbanna Farmers’ Market to feature organic food
The Urbanna Farmers’ Market is right in the middle of its annual summer season and is enjoying more vendors and bigger crowds as the summer progresses. At Taber Park this Saturday, July 12, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., visitors and shoppers will have the benefit of listening to the songs of vocalist Paige Melton of West Point while browsing.
Craft beer, barbecue and music set for July 19 at Historic Christ Church
Volunteers are busy preparing for a “Raise the Roof” festival at Historic Christ Church on Saturday, July 19, from 4-8 p.m. The event, which will help raise funds for the preservation and repair of the 1897 slate roof of the 1735 church, will feature a barbecue with fixin’s from Kilmarnock’s Savannah Joe’s, live music by the popular group “James Justin & Co.” and 12 craft beers.
