‘Scary Halloween’ set for Oct. 31 at maritime park

More than 80 years ago, the Palmer engine was very popular in area workboats because it would run slowly at a good speed to work a crabbing trot line, explained Henry Lackey, who owns and operates Deltaville Diesel.
Tickets available for Gloucester Wine Walk
The Gloucester Main Street Association has announced that the next Gloucester Wine Walk will be held Thursday, November 5, from 4-8 p.m. Downtown merchants will open their shops as “tasting rooms” where participants can sip and savor great wines.
Holly Point Art & Seafood Festival is this Saturday
The 12th annual Holly Point Art & Seafood Festival is this Saturday, October 17, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at Deltaville Maritime Museum. Art, in all its forms, brought to the festival by Virginia artists, will line the Waterfront Park’s arbors and paths.
