The 1929 American LaFrance fire truck above won first place in the “privately-owned antique” category at the Urbanna Oyster Festival Fireman’s Parade last Friday.

WWII paratrooper to address aeronautical group on Nov. 20
A life-long aviator and World War II paratrooper Norwood Thomas Jr. of Virginia Beach will share a lifetime of aviation anecdotes at the meeting of the Northern Neck Chapter of the Virginia Aeronautical Historical Society on Thursday, November 20, at the Pilot House restaurant in Topping.
Crawl-O-Ween is a blast!
Over 200 people took part in the 2nd Annual Crawl-O-Ween in Urbanna on Friday, October 31. The Urbanna Business Association (UBA) sponsored the event. “I would like to thank Shannon Haley for initiating the Crawl-O-Ween,” said UBA president Karen Lowe.
