Local talent to be showcased at Saturday’s Relay for Life event
imageThe second annual “Relayers Got Talent” will be held Saturday, March 15, at 7 p.m. at St. Clare Walker Middle School in Locust Hill. Pastor Jonathan Davis from Urbanna Baptist Church will emcee the show and also perform. There will be a People’s Choice Award that will be presented to the talent who raises the most money for Relay for Life during the show.

‘Experimental Group’ exhibit at RAL gallery
imageShortly after the Rappahannock Art League (RAL) opened the Studio Gallery on North Main Street in Kilmarnock, a group of 12 artists decided to get together to paint and critique their work. They had the idea that in working together, they could push each other to try new approaches to their art.

Hollingsworth wins four silver medals at 2014 Governor’s Cup
imageThe Dog and Oyster Vineyard, 170 White Fences Drive, Irvington, continues to amaze wine competition judges. Winegrower and co-owner Mark Hollingsworth recently captured more medals. Gov. Terry McAuliffe last week announced The Dog and Oyster won four silver medals at the 2014 Governor’s Cup.

“A Night To Remember” show a big success
imageThe Central Middlesex Volunteer Rescue Squad (CMVRS) and Auxiliary thanks all who came out for its “A Night To Remember” concert last Saturday evening. It was a huge success! The auxiliary thanks St. Clare Walker Middle School and its staff for letting the CMVRS use the school and the Middlesex County School Board.
