Kilmarnock Town Centre Park grand opening is slated July 8
imageDrive by 150 North Main Street and see sidewalks that meander through the nine acres. An abundance of native plants and trees have been planted to create inviting and lush green spaces. A pavilion flanks the official entrance to the park and will be the location for a 9 a.m. dedication ceremony.

Irvington will go red, white and blue July 4
The Town of Irvington invites everyone who appreciates good old-fashioned family fun to visit the traditional "hometown parade" at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 4. Grand marshal Robert “Bob” Morrison, a West Point graduate and former chairman of the Irvington Planning Commission, will lead the parade, reported town administrator Bob Hardesty.

Mathews fireworks show set for July 4
The Mathews County Fireworks Committee has announced that the 20th annual fireworks show will take place on Tuesday, July 4, at Mathews High School with a rain date of July 5. There will be entertainment and concessions available for purchase throughout the evening.

Gloucester Arts Festival is a ‘tremendous success’
