There are friends, and then there are true friends. Betty Chenowith of Deltaville, whose kidneys have failed, recently found out just how many true friends she has. Twenty years ago, Chenowith was told she had kidney problems. The doctor even told her to put her affairs in order.

Feigum said the Sentinel story about the death of Buddy Holly, The Big Bopper and Richie Valens in a plane crash brought back memories of “the day the music died”—Feb. 3, 1959.

Returning and new visitors to the Art on the Half Shell festival will be delighted once again on Saturday, May 9, when they spot Glen Allen artist Clifford Earl at his usual spot at the corner of Virginia Street and Rappahannock Avenue in Urbanna.
