Mathews Market Days to feature Saturday flyover
The 41st annual Mathews Market Days festivities start at 9 a.m. Friday, September 11, and continue through Saturday, September 12. There is free parking and shuttle rides from Mathews High School to the festivities in downtown Mathews.

Tickets are now on sale for the 9th annual Oyster Roast and Dance to be held Saturday, September 12, from 5-9 p.m. in the Events Pavilion at Deltaville Maritime Museum and Holly Point Nature Park.
‘The writer and the artist’ to combine forces
In “Evening of the Dragonfly,” the latest novel by Mary Montague Sikes, heroine Farrah Ferand is learning to deal with her emotions by creating paintings for an art show. Since Sikes is an artist as well as a writer, she decided to create a show of artwork for Farrah.
