Hank Norton: A life of football and fly-fishing

From being a high school football coach at Powhatan County High School in the 1950s to heading the football coaching staff at Ferrum College for 34 years, Norton is an expert on the ins and outs of the game.

School field trip goes to Deltaville Maritime Museum
imageThe Deltaville Maritime Museum and Holly Point Nature Park hosted its first school field trip on Friday. “The museum did a great job of planning for the field trip,” said first grade teacher Beaton Healy. “It was a really good review of things we’ve learned throughout the year.”

‘Lafferty’s Wake’ opens Thursday in Gloucester
