‘Women in Islam’ to be course topic
imageA course on “Women in Islam,” sponsored by the Rappahannock Community College Educational Foundation’s Rappahannock Institute for Lifelong Learning (RILL), will be taught by Diana Obeid on March 16, 23, and 30 (Fridays) from 2-4 p.m. at RCC’s Glenns Campus (Room 158).

James Kinner: A Middlesex pioneer in religion and education
imageJames Conway and Otelia Arugunes of Gloucester County have deep roots in Middlesex County. Their most famous Middlesex relative was their maternal great-grandfather, Rev. James Kinner, who was a pioneer in bringing religion and education to former slaves of Middlesex.

On Stage mini-season offers three performances

Museum announces concert schedule
If you are looking for great live concerts in a beautiful waterfront setting, the Deltaville Maritime Museum’s “Groovin’ in the Park” music series is really stepping it up a notch with this year’s schedule of stellar performers. All Groovin’ concerts are 6 to 8 p.m. on the fourth Saturday of the month, from April through September, coinciding with the Deltaville Farmers’ Market dates.
