Dr. David Buell Nichols, who fulfilled a promise to the residents of Tangier Island by taking care of their health needs for over 31 years, died last week surrounded by family at his home on the Rappahannock River.

Some see danger in unlicensed golf carts being driven on the streets of Urbanna. Others, like town council member Joe Heyman, see them as a “pedestrian friendly and eco-friendly” way to get around town and to ease parking congestion.

Miss Rogers crowned Queen of the Holly Realm
Miss Rogers was chosen to serve as the 115th queen of the Holly Ball, the Tidewater Foundation’s fundraising arm. Thirteen Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula area debutantes were presented at this year’s annual Holly Ball.
