International sailors John and Nicola Rodriguez of England and their two children, Jack and James, found the port of Urbanna a splendid place to visit and spend their July 4th holiday. In June, the family cruised into the Chesapeake Bay, completing a 2,500-mile trip from the Caribbean. Last week, the family sailed into Urbanna Creek on their Moody 38-foot sailboat “Seraphim.” “We gave up our careers to sail around the world,” said John.
‘Orderlies’ to bring harmony to Deltaville Museum
This Saturday, July 11, from 6 to 8 p.m., the singers, songwriters and multi-instrumentalists of “The Orderlies” bring their tight harmonies and intricate acoustic melodies to the Groovin’ in the Park concert series at the Deltaville Maritime Museum and Holly Point Nature Park.

Children’s art programs at Deltaville, Glenns
Most of the year, Elizabeth Blackwell is the popular art teacher for St. Clare Walker Middle School. But this summer, she takes on a new role: creator and teacher for summer art programs at the Deltaville Maritime Museum and Holly Point Nature Park, as well as at the Glenns Campus of Rappahannock Community College.
