Orderlies ‘bring it on’ at museum’s concert series
The “Orderlies” from Richmond came to Deltaville last Saturday evening and treated the appreciative “Groovers” to one heckuva night of music. T-Birds rally in Deltaville
Do you remember 1955? Deltaville had an opportunity to reminisce about those mid-1950s on Sunday, July 12, when a parade of vintage T-Birds toured the community on their way to Stingray Point.
Buyboats to gather in Urbanna
Buyboats will return to the Urbanna Town Marina at Upton’s Point on Friday and Saturday, July 31-August 1, for the Fifth Annual Chesapeake Bay Buyboat Homecoming. The Chesapeake Bay Buyboat Association is comprised of owners of the remaining buyboats who, at their own expense, try to bring the boats to ports around the Bay each summer so the public can visit them and understand their importance in Bay history. Urbanna is the port that brought the buyboats together and started this unique adventure.
Quick visit to Urbanna on their way around the world
International sailors John and Nicola Rodriguez of England and their two children, Jack and James, found the port of Urbanna a splendid place to visit and spend their July 4th holiday. In June, the family cruised into the Chesapeake Bay, completing a 2,500-mile trip from the Caribbean. Last week, the family sailed into Urbanna Creek on their Moody 38-foot sailboat “Seraphim.” “We gave up our careers to sail around the world,” said John.
