‘Rally for the Cure’ golf tourney set for April 30
The fourth annual "Rally for the Cure" golf event will be held at the Piankatank River Golf Club at 9 a.m. on Thursday, April 30. Proceeds will support cancer research. The 2nd Annual Church of the Visitation Golf Tournament is scheduled for Friday, May 1, at the Piankatank River Golf Club in Hartfield.
Norris sisters to be honored, the Pride of Middlesex
Sisters Rachel Norris Bridger and Ruby Lee Norris, who were the unanimous choices for this year’s Pride of Middlesex Award, will be honored with a banquet on Saturday, April 18, at 6:30 p.m. in the Christchurch School dining facility.

Hands Across Middlesex and Habitat for Humanity may finally get a home. Last week, the Middlesex Planning Commission recommended approval of a zoning change that would allow a 9,600-square-foot headquarters where the two charitable organizations would be combined.
