‘F.D. Crockett’ open for tours at Oyster Festival
The classic log-hulled buyboat “F.D. Crockett” will be on display and available for tours this weekend at the 54th annual Urbanna Oyster Festival. The 62-foot, 87-year-old, nine-log bottom buyboat, one of only three log-hulled buyboats still floating, will be on display at the Urbanna Town Marina at Upton’s Point on Friday and Saturday, November 4-5.
Relay For Life plans Nov. 10 kickoff rally
On November 10, at 6 p.m., the American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Middlesex County will officially get under way as event volunteers and participants gather at Rappahannock Civic Club in Hartfield for a kickoff rally to launch their fund-raising efforts for the year.
Christmas ‘Party in a Party’ set December 10

The Middlesex Volunteer Fire Department will hold a benefit fried oyster dinner at the Urbanna Firehouse on Thursday, November 3, from 4-7 p.m. Patrons may eat in or take out.
