Water View woman needs kidney transplant
Carole Carter of Water View, a 1981 graduate of West Point High School, has been living with little known of a disease referred to as Polycystic Kidney Disease or PKD. PKD is an inherited disorder that causes many fluid-filled cysts to form on both kidneys, causing enlargement of the kidney and eventually destroying the working kidney tissue.
Iva W. returns to Deltaville Maritime Museum
The popular Pierwalk exhibit "Iva W.," the 1929 converted buyboat, has returned to the dock at the Deltaville Maritime Museum. She joins the Captain John Smith “Explorer,“ the in-construction "F.D. Crockett" and other boats of the museum flotilla.
‘Buy local’ workshop due Tuesday in Saluda

The annual VFW Post #9501 and American Legion Post #314 Memorial Day program has been set for Sunday, May 24, at 3 p.m. at Memorial Park, commonly known as the Caleb and Mary Pollard Family Veterans Memorial Park, adjacent to the VFW Building on Route 30, four miles north of Route 360 at Central Garage in King William County.
