Bathrooms completed at Deltaville maritime park
The two new handicapped-access bathrooms have been completed at the Deltaville Maritime Museum and Holly Point Nature Park. The bathroom project, begun in early 2011 and delayed due to budgetary concerns, was completed this past Friday. These bathrooms will be available for the park area when the museum is closed.
‘Greater Tuna’ opens in March
The comedy “Greater Tuna,” is currently in rehearsal by The Lancaster Players. The long running Off-Broadway hit, written by Jaston Williams, Joe Sears and Ed Howard, has spawned three sequels, an HBO special, and given a command performance at The White House for President George H.W. Bush.
‘Hubcaps’ to perform Sunday in Mathews
“The Fabulous Hubcaps” will perform at Concerts By The Bay at 3 p.m. Sunday, February 12, at Mathews High School, 9889 Buckley Hall Road, Route 198, Mathews. The Fabulous Hubcaps is one of the nation’s most sought after oldies show bands.
Global warming: the scientific facts
Over 100 citizens from surrounding counties attended a forum titled “Global Warming—Myth or Fact.” 3 presentations were offered. The star attraction of the forum was Professor Fred Singer, the sole presenter who could claim involvement in the scientific debate on global warming. Professor Singer has a long history of skepticism pertaining to global warming and its causes.
