Freeshade used to be the “happening” place in the middle part of the county. There were plays, dinners, dances and variety shows to highlight the local talents of young and old.

Preserving a useful Middlesex landmark
If Freeshade Community Center could talk, it would tell stories of happy times. From school recitals to reunions, and variety shows to square dances, this former school auditorium has seen and heard a lot in its 72 years.

DCA calendars available
The 2009 edition of the Deltaville Community Association (DCA) sponsored community calendar has arrived. For the 2009 calendar, there are over 1,100 entries—birthdays, anniversaries and events, to name a few.

Middlesex Rotary News
ShelterBox is now enthusiastically supported by Rotary clubs worldwide. Shelterboxes have been sent to over 30 countries in relief of, for example, the tsunami in southeast Asia in the spring of 2005, Hurricane Katrina in September 2005, earthquake in Pakistan October 2005, earthquake in Indonesia July 2006, and a cyclone in Bangladesh November 2007.
